Ford says the timing belt in the 1.0 EcoBoost should be changed once every 10 years or 150,000 miles, whatever comes first. But I'm sure you should do it way earlier. The proper interval for this part is about 8 years and 100,000 miles. If I owned the vehicle with the 1.0 EcoBoost, I would probably change it even earlier. Let's see why!
However! Before you place the engine into the car, you will need to "time the pulley orientation to the engine" -a summary of this here-> (1) place engine at TDC (2) insert the timing peg (bolt) into the proper hole (slot) located near the alternator & timing chain cover (aka engine front cover) The timing bolt does not seat unless the engine
There's a new belt of another chemistry which is supposedly better. But ironically the manufacturer recommends reduced replacement intervals with this new belt. Ford's Ecoboost 1.0 and the new Puretech 1.2 by PSA are two engines with wet belt systems sold in India per my knowledge. Here's what BHPian Vishy76 had to say on the matter:

Hi I could do with some advice, I have just inherited a 2012 focus Titanium 1.0 ecoboost, it has only done an unbelievable 6,000 miles!!!!! I have been looking on forums re changing the belt and realised that this is quite a costly and serious job. I note that it recommends being changed everyd8nDW.
