4 posts · Joined 2017. #1 · Dec 2, 2017. My son has 2005 KTM 65 sx. The manual says to use gear oil 20w90 (e.g Motorex top speed 4t 15w50). The person at the local shop said it is two stroke and gave me a bottle of red line syntheitic 80w gear oil. Am I safe to use this or get the motorex?
Your clutch and transmission share the same oil on your classic KTM. BelRay gear saver trans oil is a good choice.
