Scheduled Carefree Maintenance 2 yrs. or 20,000 miles. For advanced peace of mind, all new VW models come standard with Scheduled Carefree Maintenance, which includes the first two years of manufacturer-recommended maintenance intervals (two years or 20,000 miles, whichever occurs first). 2. VW dealers sometimes do DSG oil and filter as an offer for £179 all in, the oil and filter costs more than half that now so most independent specialists are charging £200+ Reply OP Posts Only

My 2019 USA Warranty and Maintenance manual states: 6-speed DSG change fluid and filter at every 40,000 miles 7-speed DSG (Golf R only) change fluid at every 80,000 miles Nothing about the 7-speed non Golf R.

So it depends on your baseline for comparison. IMO considering many transmissions and transfer cases are lifetime (which most interpret at 100K), you are good to 40K. Temperatures do not get excessive (friction vice combustion in an engine) so the oil is not going to break down over time.
Mk7 maintenance schedule concerns. I just got a new 2021 GLI S with DSG trans. And I noticed the maintenance schedule only calls for service every 10k miles, and transmission fluid change every 80k miles. These intervals seem super relaxed to me as I’ve always changed oil every 5k miles and trans fluid every ~50k miles in my standard torque
I traded a MK1 TT I had for a MK5 GTI 2.0T DSG this past weekend. Both cars need some work and this is my first mk5, first 2.0T & first DSG. Received a folder of records with the car that said the DSG & timing belt were both serviced at 40k. The car currently has 110k on it. I'm assuming both are overdue, but what are the intervals for these Volkswagen Golf Timing Belt Or Timing Chain (1989 - 2021) From the model year 1989 to 2021 the Volkswagen Golf has various engines with either a timing belt or a timing chain. However, all of its engines are interference. Scroll down to see specific data for your model year below. The timing belt (or chain) maintains the proper synchronization
In this video we talk about how much you should pay for your VW or Audi DSG service and How to do a MK7 DSG Service. This video specifically references the
rix337. For the first 120k, you will change the rear brake pads twice, and oil changes every 10k, and fuel filters every 20k. If you do your own oil changes, fuel filters, and pads, that's not much in maintenance at all. At 120k, you will need the timing belt, and that, if done right, is $1200-1400. I've had a 2001 tdi and currently an 2009 tdi AhoT2i.
