The new 9-3X came with two engine choices: the 1.9 L diesel (producing 180 bhp) and the 2.0 L petrol engine (producing the 210 bhp). Only the 2.0 L petrol engine is equipped with the XWD while the diesel version is available only with front-wheel-drive. 2010. For 2010, the Saab 9-3 Aero's turbocharged V6 was eliminated. Hello, I have a 2000 golf 4 tdi 1.9 and has 270000 km in it. I've owned it for 4 years now and I have always used 10w40 valvoline all climate. I've been told that I should use 5w30 instad of 10w-40. In 10000 km it"s consumption is about 500 ml of oil. For 4 years it haven't has any problems but Aydan, I think the 1.6TD was rated at 69 HP @ 4500 RPM and 98 ft.lbs. @ 2500 RPM. The 1.9TD (AAZ) was rated at 75 HP @ 4500 RPM and 114 ft.lbs. at 2500 RPM. I'm sure those are rated at the crankshaft. I don't think engines have been rated at the crank since in the 70's. My Rover had 77 hp stock at the crank. Since 2007, the installation of the Soot Particle Filter has begun. The oldest 1.7 diesel engines carry the D and TD designations of 60 or 82 hp. The newer DI and DTI units are with 65 and 75 hp. The CDTI engines are available in several versions with capacities from 80 to 130 hp. The 100 horsepower variant of the CDTI unit appeared in the
I’d say they are both really good engines. If you want to go crazy with mods, alh is better but if you just want to throw a tune on, bew might be the way to go because a turn will wake them right up. For the bew, the rig oil is a big factor. I have an 04 Jetta with the bew and on the original cam at 334000 kms and runs great.
But still, having an 131 bhp 1.9 TDI under the bonnet of a VW Golf IV is like having Moet Chandon champagne in a can of Budweiser. There are some myths lurking on the internet that the 150 bhp “ARL” was mounted also in the VW Golf IV, but good luck finding one of those. Also, all 1.9 TDI engines suffer from worn engine mounts at old age.
This engine is result from many long-term tdi tuners after building and having experience from tens of tuned tdi engines, though this one is built on very small time only for the way of experiment. Build it with same receipt, and you will find some numbers. Can´t claim H-profiles would not be an good update. The 1.9 TDi engine gives the Fabia all the power it needs to be a proper all-rounder, as at home on the motorway as on the high street. A good handling car is not always the one that sticks to
1Z engines up to engine 770 000 had 8 mm valve stems. 1Z engines from 770 001 on had 7 mm stems. All AHU also had 7 mm stems. 1Z engine up to 800 000 had a different valve spring. 1Z engines 800 000 and later, and all the AHU, used the new spring. The smooth case casting injector pumps were on the early cars, without regard to 1Z or AHU
